Immense crowds in the streets reverently witnessed the ceremonial removal of Martahal Foch's remains from his home to th£ Arc de Triomphe. t
'As the coffin was carried out from the residence, troops presented arms, the band played the Marseillaise and the regimental colours were dipped.
A platoon of Cuirassiers headed the procession which included officers of the garrison, delegates from the servicemen^ organisations, General: Wegand, Gourad and Baratien and members of the Cabinet. The Arc de Triorri/ e was thronged by spectators as the coffin was placed beside the tomb cf the unknown warrior for lying in state.— Australian Press Assn.
