Immense crowds in the streets reverently witnessed the ceremonial removal of Martahal Foch's remains from his home to th£ Arc de Triomphe. t

A platoon of Cuirassiers headed the procession which included officers of the garrison, delegates from the servicemen^ organisations, General: Wegand, Gourad and Baratien and members of the Cabinet.
