The following annual report was

prie scented: — In presenting the fifth annual report the committee has much pleasure in reporting that the club has passed, through another successful i season, both from a playing and a financial point of view. While the first junior team was unable to repeat its performance of the previous year in winning the Central Division and Taranaki first junior championship, it nevertheless put up some good performances and eventually finished as runner-up in the Central Division first junior championship to Toko, who are to he congratulated On their success. The third grade team was not so successful, but it was responsible for some good performances at different times during the season. The club is indebted to Messrs F. Foley and L. Toohey for the way in which the y coached these teams respectively. We wish to congratulate A. Carter, an old player of the club, on being selected t'o represent Taranaki. The committee had much pleasure in awarding the following trophies during the past season: Mr Bodley’s cups for the best first junior back and forward, L. Dodd and M. Bilski; third grade, Mr Walter’s medal for best forward, J. Kofoed; Mr Hamps'on’s medal for most improved forward, T. J. Withers. During the year the club held its annual ball and smoke concert and both proved to be outstanding social successes. We particularly wish to place on record our appreciation of the effort's of the ladies in assisting at the ball. We wish to congratulate the Stratford Club on the fine performance of all it's teams, and especially the senior team on again winning the Taranaki championship. We desire to extend our deepest sympathy to the relatives of the late Mr A. Ri Moss, who played for the club on several occasions since its inception. In conclusion, the committee extends its thanks to the members for theirt co-operation during the season to the donors of medals, and to the Referees’ Association, and all others who assisted the club in any way. The ciommitltee extends its best wishes for another successful season. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £lO 8s and a balance of asset's over liabilities of £l2 Bs.

Mc-rey, first PRACTICE. It was decided that the first practice be held on the first Thursday after Easter. thanks. A special vote of thanks was passed to Mr P. Bowler for his action in refereeing for one of the club s matches, when the referee failed t'o turn up. Votes cf thanks were also passed to past 'officers, to Mr T. W. Smith for the use of the meeting room and t'o the press. _
