An extraordinary scene,, unprecedented in Australian trade union history, has been arranged by the Union officials directing the timber ■workers’ strike as an open challenge not only to the Arbitration Court, Ibut also to the Federal Government. The strikers decided to stifge their ballot burning demonstration on Wednesday night, and in addition a large effigy of Judge Uuken has "been built, and this will he derisively committed to the flames. The ashes will be addressed to the judge and forwarded to Melbourne. Moderate unionists are alarme.d Australian Press Assn.
