Norma, Shearer, as Kathie, his sweetheart, reveals herself as an emotional actress of rare artistry. ,
Brought to the/ screen by the wizardry of Ernest Lubitsch, "The Student Prince has lost none of the elusive charm that characterised it as a musical play. 'The intense but hopeless love of the prince and the peasant maid, the happy days in Heidelberg and the tragedy that followed, retain all their poignant appeal.
Tho supporting cast is a particularly talented one, and' Jean Hornholt scores a great triumph as the kindly Dr. Juttnor.
