OIL ACTIVITIES. Tho Blenheim oil reclamation company issued tlic following report last night;— _ . “Siiico our last report swabbing and bailing has been continued in the 7-inch casing. At 7.1.5 this evening oil was brought up by the swab through the 7-inch casing, when operations ceased for the day/' 1 Mr Allan M. Neil ley, representing a group of Sydney business men interested in developing extensive oil options in the vicinity of Moturoa. was invited to see the Blenheim bore flowing yesterday. He told a reporter last night that he had been agreeably surprised, at what he saw and considered that the well would now continue to givb oil. PUNIWHAKAU SHEEP FAIR. Buyers were not very keen at Newton King’s Puniwhakau sheep fair, and though the yarding was fair, prices were not very large. The prices brought were ; 4 and .5-year ewes 2Gs 6d to 27s Qd; s.m. ewes 21s to 255 • black faced lambs 13s; m.s. white-faced lambs 12s 2d to 14s 3d ; cull lambs 9s ■ 2-tooth wethers 28s to 28s Id.
