A crowd of persons saw a young man slash the throat of Mrs. Ellen Kelly with a razor in Grown Street, Darlinghurst. In an effort to protect' herself Mrs. Kelly received the cut on the arm and one finger was nearly severed. The man was later arrested and charged with maliciously wounding.
