ARTILLERY CORPS DISSOLVED
DECREES CAUSE REVOLT. APPEAL TO LOYAL OFFICERS. (Received 10.5 a.m.) MADRID, February 20. Decrees dissolving the artillery corps were responsible for a revolt at Ciudad. Gazetted officers were temporarily reduced to civilian rank and were ordered to go to their homes without pay until the corps is reconstituted in July, when
the officers whose commissions were confirmed would be obliged to take the oath of fidelity to the constituted Government 1 . The decree urged loyal officers to apply for reinstatement in the c^rps.—Australian Press Assn., United Service.
