CROQUET
STRATFORD CLUB AFTERNOON, Yesterday the Stratford Croquet; Oluf) held a social afternoon pn ,tbf?jp courts for the purpose of raising funds, and the gathering was thoroughly successful, both socially aaxj financially. The weather was perfect and therfl was a large attendance of Club members, members of the Avon. Club and friends, The various stalls were well patronised and a number of friendly matches were played Afternoon tea was provided. A, golf croquet competition was won by Mrs. Gibberd with Mrs. .jCTnrkness second. L B. Davis won the target croquet, Airs. Lampshire being second. Mrs. O’Reilly wo n the guessing competition for the bath salts.
Another similar gathering is to ba held at an early date.
