DUNEDIN MEETING.

AUSSIE BEATS LIMEKICK. DUNEDIN, February 16. The Dunedin autumn meeting was concluded to-day in fine but windy weather and before a very large attendance. The totalisator handled £31,271; for the day, compared with. £26,472 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £57,026, compared Avith £50,280 10s last year. Results are:

Wailhola Handicap, V six furlongts. —1 Waving Corn 1,2 Impertinence 2, 4 Court Jester 3. Also started: Killorna, Wigwag, Night Effort, Red Boa, Battle Screen. Won by threequarters of a length, with two lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 18 3-ssec.

Hopeful Handicap, live furlongs. _2 Night Lad 1, 3 Stealth 2, 4 Blue Metal 3. Also started: Francolin, Leading Boy, Positive, Tormenter. A great finish, won by a neck, with a head separating second and third. Time, lmin 3 3-ssec. Hazlett Gold Cup, one milc.-3 Aussie 1, 1 Limerick 2,2 Rapier 3. The only starters. Aussie was never; headed and won by threequarters of a length. There were three lengths between second and third. The winner was given an ovation. Time, lmin 44sec.

Abbotsford Handicap, seven furloiigs.—6 Camisader 1, 7 Eaton Bells 2 l Wingatui 3. Also started: Nincompoop, Overhaul, Ark Royal, Tripaway, Pangolin, Waterlow. Waihod Handicap, six furlongs and 38 yards.—7Glens'tar 1,2 Pegaway 2, 4 Ruffles 3. Also started: High Finance, Tea Time, Kingfield, Mosaic, Jolly Money, Macroom. Won by a head, wtih half a length between second and third. Time, Imm 15 l-ssec. Jolly Money, Tea Time and Macroom fell. Jolly Money broke a foreleg and was destroyed. Champion Hack Cup, one and a quarter miles.—l Black Maire 1,2 Maori Boy 2,2 Star Comet 3. The Wanganui Jockey Club's autumn meeting was [concluded on Saturday when, despite Hhc fact that iields were small in some events some remarkably good racing was seen. The weather was line and the track was in good order. The totalisator handled £28,557 10s, as compared with £29,327 on the second day last year. The t'otal for the meeting was £54,369 10s, as against £52,403 last) year, an increase of £1966. In the Harrison Hack Handicap Aviid (Metcalfe) fell and Htyo (Marsh) was brought down. Both riders were taken to hospital. Metcalfe was discharged but Marsh is still an inmate with severe bruises.

Concluding events resulted:

Earle Stakes, one mile and a half.—3 Star Area 1, 4 Mendip 2, 1 Laughing Prince 3. Also staged: Orazone, Rapine. Won by a
