Mr A. B. Sievwright appealed for members of the staff, Mr A. B. Buxton for the family of the deceased, Scufi r-Sergeant Butler for the P°l* • ce , Mr C. A. L. Treadwell for the medical superintendent.
In order to allow Ethel Paynton, sister of the deceased, to catch tne only boat for some weeks to her home In the Chatham Islands, her ei ideuce was taken in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, after which the sitting was continued at tne Povinu Hospital establishment. Affev evidence had been taken today the inquiry was postponed to Monday.
