appointment of judges. An executive meeting of the Horticultural Society was held last evening when a full meeting was presided over by the president, Mr it, H. Young. The following judges have agreed to judge:—• Cut Flowers; Mi; V, C. Davies (New Plymouth). Decorative; Mrs Alexander (New Plymouth).
' Vegetables: Mr- TV. Harris (Stratford).
Mr TV. J. Poison, M.P., has agreed to officially open the show at 3 p.m.
A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr R. Masters for his donation of a handsome silver cup to the Society. Much detail business in connection with the organisation was attended to.
Tho secretary reported that from the enquiries being received it appeared that everything augured well for the show.
