SHIELD COMPETITIONS. * Inglewood wins in the Central Division Shield competition for tne second year in succession, winning eight of the nine games played, an scoring 1012 points against their opponents' 822. Avon is in second place with six wins and three losses; Stratford five wins and f°ux losses, Bltham four wins and four osses, Kaponga one win and six osses, Tariki -one win and seven loss .. Owing to postponements, the co petition games have not yet a beeh^ completed, but games o cannot affect Inglewood s position. In the northern division the competition will not be ■Some weeks-. In section , Plymouth and West End A are leading with four wins and two losse cadn In section B, West! End B ,eads with eight! wins and no losses. Wailara being second with six *«xs and two losses.
