There was' an element of romance in the Supreme Court at Auckland yesterday, when James A. W. Fleming who was found guilty of receiving stolen goods, was remanded until" to-morrow for sentence >n order that he might get married in the meantime. Fleming was charged with stealing certain goods, but h’ B fiancee gave evidence that on the night of the theft he was with her at’the theatre. Mr Justice Blair remarked that Fleming had pretty well qualified for an in terminate senfence, as since 1926 he had largely given’ himself up to a career of crime.
