KIWS THEATRE.
to-night only, “DANOING VIENNA
“.Dancing Vienna'’ is a tlolifglitlui romance of the European stage that has as its .basis the contrast between jazz and waltz time as applied to the modern audience. Lya Mara typilics the Viennese sentiment of the waltz, whilst Ben Lyon, one oi the leading American actors, presents the case for jazz. Ihronghonti the film dancing is well to the lore. Lya Mara, excels in this direction, as she commenced her artistic career as a student of ballet and first appeared on the stage when she was only seven years old. Since then she lias worked her way up to prima ballerina and in recent years has applied her artistic talents to tli oii tms.
Tn “Dancing Vienna” she is irresistible, not only ‘fin the Viennese waltz but also in the international metamorphosis shown in the dancing revue scenes included in the picture. Whether it he in the gavotte, cancaln 0 r the jazz, she appears to he equally at home, and gives an excellent performance. Ben 'Lyon has a fine part as the young American who falls J n love with her and succeeds admirably 1 11 every scene.
