STRATFORD CLUB RACES. Keen competition was the feature of tlio races held on Victoria Park last evening by the Stratford Cycling Club* The officials were: —Messrs T. Kirkwood, referee; W..Eagar, handicapper; R. Penniall. marksman; J. Corlett, timekeeper; K. Kershaw, starter; A. O. W. Bellringer, T. Kirkwood and W. Edgar, iudgee; JDickson, assistant secretary. Following are details: — One mile.-—K. Donnelly (130yds) 1 ) J. Crockett (130yds) 2, El. Stockman (90yds) 3. Time. 2rnin 28sec. The riders bunched at the end of the second of the four laps, the first three riders going ahead in the straight, inches separating them at the finish. Two miles. —FJ Stockman (150yds) 1, D. Coleman (285yds) 2, K. DotiHQlly (210yds) 3. Time, smin 18 sec. Stockhnan, the scratch, man, was up with the field very soon, and jjbi) drew away with ease in the last 'lap. Crockett made a great effort and was quickly drawing up on the loader when his machine skidded and threw him as he was entering the straight, Stockman winning by twelve lengths from the second man. Tile chib now intends to organise a series of i;aces for three cupa.
