SHEEP-STEALING ADMITTED
ACCUSED ALTERS PLEA. A WISE COURSE, SAYS JUDGE. I'ress Association— Coiiyricht AUCKLAND, This Day.. The Supreme Court concluded the hearing of the charge of sheep-steal-ing against Frank James Smith, of •■Tuakau, farmer, accused 'having amended his plea 'of not guilty -and admitted the theft of 233 sheep valued at £351, from the Bothwell Station, Glenmurray, between April u December 19th last year.
Mr Justice Blair said he thought accused's decision was wise. The case was abundantly clear. He complimented Constable Roberton and Detective Sneddon on the manner in Avhich they handled the case. Accused was remanded for sentience till Wednesday next.
