MAN WHO FOUND MISSING SOLDIER
NOW ON VISIT TO STRATFORD. MR W, B. PORTER. It was Mr Wu, B. Porter, now on a visit to Stratford, who first identified Mr George McQuay, the missing soldier of this town, whose identity had hitherto been shrouded m mystery Mr Porter saw an appeal tor cigarettes and money for unidentified soldiers in the Callan Park Hospital advertised in the Sydney Sun.. In the notice in question there was » photograph of Mr McQuay, winch Mr Porter thouglit he. recognised, and his impression was confirmed when he the hospital. Subsequently Z i- well known, the New Zealand authorities were communicated with with the result that Mr, McQuay tf Orlando Street, Stratford, visited Sydney, and the son whom she aly , ■ J c finrKntr trace of mosti despaired of finding again was reunited to his family.
