DROWNED WHILE BATHING.
AUCKLAND, Last Night
, Herbert John Adams, a single man aged 29, was drowned on the west coast to-day. While bathing near the mouth of the Waitakere River ho swam out to warn others he thought were too far out. On returning Adams became exhausted "and was unable to regain the beach.
