A comprehensive schedule embracing classes tor all kinds o£ cattle, houses, sheep and pigs, and steerriding and buckjumpiug contests baa been drawn up by the committee and is now available, free of change, to any person interested iu this important fixture. The prize money throughout is liberal, whilst there ar e many valuable trophies and gold medals to be competed for. A mild sensation was caused at tho Stratford Mountain House on Sunday afternoon, when it was stated a Hamper was missing on the mountain side. Rescue preparations were at once put in train, but were not necessary, as thq man in question becoming tired had remained behind in a particular spot while his party went to the top.
