Mrs H. Bishop who l«ivs been on a three months’ tour, of Australia, returned to Stratford on Tuesday. Mr W. Ritchie, of the staff of the staff of the National Bank,' is tit present on holiday in Otagos Miss H. G. Niven, who has been spending a few days in Stratford, left this morning for Wellington. Mr R. Masters, chairman of the United Flirty, who had been on a visit to "Wellington, returned to Stratford last night. The funeral of the late Mr Frederick J. I>. Mac Kay, which took place at Karen on Tuesday, wy,s largely attended, the service be.ng conducted by the Rev. W. Shirer. The late Mr Mac Kay served in the Gi-eat War, and! was well known in the Ngaere district.
