SON OF OLD QUAKER FAMILY. "HIGH MORAL PRINCIPLES." "Mr He.rbe.rt Hoover, the new President o ftlie United States, is a very fine man. We have known him for years. He comes from, a line eld family ofQuakers and he a little Quaker Church in Washington." The speaker was Mr A. G. Daniels, one of the world leaders of the Seventh Day Adven.tist movement, who arrived! afc Auckland by the Ulimaroa with his wife from Wellington. Mr Daniels said that along with many other Americans they were delighted with Mr Hoover's election. I Ho was a man of high morals with a wide outlook on world affairs. "Of course.," added the visitor, rereverting to the subject of Mr Hoover's Quake.r connections, "he is not as strict as his old parents, butj his actions show that he has been welj grounded in sound moral principles. He has never yet made a, failure of ,any big undertaking and we. believe 'that he. will make a very fine President of the United' States."
