It is high time something ! was done in reference to the smoking. Section 1106 of our local bylaws reads as follows: 'No person other than a performer actually on the stage and in the course: of a performance shall smoke any pipe, cigar or Cigarette within any licensed premises.' Clause 1107. also reads: 'No owner or occupier of any licensed . premises shall permit, suffer or allow aiiy person to smoke therein any pipe, cigar or cigarette, and any duly appointed officer of the Council or of the Stratford Fire Brigade is hereby empowered to remove and eject any person, who after being cautioned, does not desist from smoking, and the removal or ejection of any such person shall not be a bar to legal proceedings under this P 3,l ** of these By-Laws, against any such person or the owner or occupier of any such licensed premises, or both.'
