a I MR WALTER’S STATEMENTS. REPLY BY MR POLSON. In the course of a speech at Tonga., porutu, Mr IV. J. Poison dtealt ex- ’ tensively with Mr Walter s states mentis in regard to his references to rural credits. Mr Walter had told his Stratford audience that “lie could say definitely that Mr Poison did# not give any evidence on Immediate Credit . In his previous replies the speaker said he'had charitably concluded that Mr Walter’s memory Bad failed him. Ho held in his hand the report of the Rural Intermediate Credit Bill Committee with minutes of evidence beginning “Col. J. J. Essen r » and Mr W. J. Poison (No. 2) exam, pier.” If hi a hearers would look at the Veport thev would hud a number of pages of closely printed evidence m that report given by the speaker on Intermediate! Credit and that Mr Walter was present while he gave it and asked questions. Need he say any more. What credfence in the face of the ovenvhehhTng proof to the contrary could be gßen to Mr Walter’s further stab ‘niustl bo that no evidence ha(l been suppressed.
