GRUESOME SCHEME OF SOVIET SCIENTISTS
J REFRIGERATED HUMAN BODIES., Siberian ice to be used. APPEAL FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS. (Received 10.20 a.m.) MOSCOW, October 31. The Far Eastern Geographical Observatory has worked out a gruesome j scheme of a refrigerator museum, in i which tli© bodies of men, women and animals will he preserved in perpetuity undecayed. The scheme proposes to use the eternal ice of Siberia, in which mammoths have already been preserved for ten thousand years, their flesh being still fit f.cr human food. In the ice museum the bodies of all peoples of the human race will be frozen in for the benefit 1 of students centuries hence, with the utensils and food they used in the life,, and their domestic and other animals. It is estimated that the cost will be ten million roubles. An appeal is being issued throughout the world for subscriptions to enable the schem© to he carried out. —Australian Press Assn., United Service.
