With regard to civil aviation in New Zealand he said he saw no reason why it should not prosper. He had noticed nothing exceptionally stung about the winds and had seen plenty of flat land which would mak e admirable landing grounds. Commercial aircraft would be of most use to New Zealand in bridging the gay between the t!wo islands.
