Post Office Burned, Fire last night destroyed the sev-en-roomed house of Mr A. AV. Sutton at Waitetunai on the HamiltouRaglan. road. Part of the house wtxa used as a. post office. Factory Ransacked. Thieves who ransacked the bottom of Sargood, Seal andl Ewen’s factory at Auckland, last night stole £3O and did much damage to the stock. When Constable Putt saw two men with large parcels near the premises lie gave chase. One man struck the constable and escaped but the other man was taken into custody, having goods in his possession alleged! to have been stolen from the factory. Charged with breaking and entering this morning, Buke John Christian, aged 27, was remanded till October 28.

A GrateM Hospital PatientMr Robert 1 Fleming, who was seriously injured in a road accident some tmie ago and has since been partially disabled, left this morning en route to his home in Ireland. In conversation with a Post representative, Mr Fleming said that before leaving he desired to express his gratitude for his splendid treatment by all members - of the staff during the time he Ira'S spent in the Stratford Hospital.

Show Schedules are JNow Available. Schedule of classes at the Stratford A. and P.Show are available and ‘may be obtained on application, to the secretary. Classes are provided for all kinds of stock, cooking, sewing, art, photography and junior work. The junior cattle section is one which the Association desires

to give particular prominence, and it has been considerably extended since last Show. Owners cf cattle are notified that a new cattle pavilion has been erected, providing inside accommodation for all milking stock and permanent provision made for the housing of bulls.

An Important Shooting Fixture. The committee of the Stratford

Gun Club is to meet to-morrow

evening to complete arrangements for the final shoot for the North Island C.A.C. Cup at present held by the Stratford Gun Club. It was provided in thg first place that the Cup should be competed for twenty times, and then be fired for to decide final possession. All the clubs who have won the Cup at any time will be invited to come to Stratford to engage in this final match, the winner to become the final owner. At the meeting to-morrow conditions will also be laid down for the cup recently donated to the club by Mrs Whittle.
