A decree lias been issued) author, ising the- road police to- collect on the spot motoring fines ranging from twelve to twenty-four shillings. 1 An offender signs an acknowledgement of conviction. Regulations provide for ordinary prosecution where other than pecuniary punishment is involved, or damages or J' l cases where the offender has been previously convicted! of a similar, offence.
