The Aero Club accommodation bureau is hard put to meet all the applications. Despite rumours emanatfig from Christchurch, advice has been received from Kingsford Smith that tlie Southern Crosg will definitely arrive in Blenheim on Friday afternoon unless the -weather is very bad.

A REAL RISK. FLIGHT TO CHRISTCHURCH. SOUTHERN TOUR POSTPONED. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 26. The southern tour of the Tasman flierg has been definitely abandoned. This decision was reached by Squadron. Leader Kingsford Smith this morning, after Captain Findlay had returned from the Conway River. Before the airmen take off for Blenheim the Southern Cross will do three or four test flights over the. city. The first will take place tomorrow 1 afternoon, when the machine will he flown over the sanitarium, Cashmere Hills. It is not certain now that the airmen -will leave Christchurch for Blenheim on Friday afternoon, KingsfordrSmiith said this morning that the return flight to Australia would not take place) until there was a prospect of meeting with good weather. In view of the unfavourable reports from Dr. Kidson it; was quite possible that they would not leave here' on Friday.. In order that the arrangements made on their behalf should not be unduly upset, the Tasman fliers and Captains Findlay and Buckley undertook a very real risk when they made the flight from Blenheim to Christchurch yesterday.
