Tho Assembly, adopted the Benes disarmament report ami also passed a resolution instructing London to communicate with the Guvenmie'nls concerned. During tho discussion M . Bonconr declared that even should disarmament fail the League, which, had other tasks to fulfil, would continue to exist though as an uncrowned goddess. M. Tanclos (Hungary) amd Count Bernstorff (Germany) reiterated their reasons for abstention from voting. Commander Locker Lampsou believed that if: the Governments were consulted generally they would have accepted the Franco-British naval compromise and the preparatory committee could successfully have resumed.—Australian Press Association.
