MELBOURNE SEAMEN. SHIPS NOT WORKED. MELBOURNE, Sept. 25. A further extension of the watermonthly stop-work meeting of the Seamen’s Union to-day decided not to work any ships discharged by non-unionists., 11 also decided not to register for employment under the Government's (Federal) proposal, whidt i* regarded, as % direct challenge to the trades union movement. The outcome of the resolution was tho refusal of the seamen to supply steam for one vessel which was being worked by ;volunteers. At Brisbane a mass meeting of seamen reaffirmed the decision of the trUmport group instructing them to carry on work as usual.
