Mr. E. Walter, M.P., left for Wellington. tbi a morning.. Mr W. A. Cave, of Makahu, has been appointed manager of the Kaimiro dairy factory. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Poison have taken a house in Regan Street and have taken up their residence in Stratford. The British Government has conveyed by telegram their sympathy with the Egyptian Government in the loss of? the eminent statesman, Sarawat Pasha, whod ied suddenly at hig Paris home on Saturday, states a wireless message. The dfsath occurred yesterday of Mr Beere, who had been employed at the Stratford dairy factory far tilve past twielvie years or so, having to* relinquish his duties 'tovfirds the end of last season owing to illness. He wa« of a retiring disposition, but was very popular with suppliers at the factory and others with whom h e came in contact. He is survived) by Mrs Beere, three sons and on© da ugh tea* (Mrs! Pepperill, Eltham) tci whom the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended.
