STRATFORD CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The animal meeting 0 f members of the Stratford} Liwn Tennis Club was held last night, the president, Mr E. C. A. -GaW, being in the chair. NEW MEMBERS. The following were elected members of the club: Messrs J". H. Blair and T. ,T. Withers, Mrs W. Dearlove, Misses Oliver, M. .Brown, P. [Brown, E. Fulcher, Jean Ward, Joan Ward. ANNUAL REPORT.

A copy of the annual report has already appeared in the "Post". Mr 11. E. Lawrence moved adoption of the report and balance-sheet. In seconding, the chairman »said the splendid attendance augured well for the coming; season. He hoped members would shew more, enthus-t iiism as regards working bees during the season. Last season a great deal of the work had been left to> the committee. >The motion was •carried without! discussion. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Tlie following officers were elected. President: Mr E. 0. A. It was proposed i3iat Thursday week should be opening day, but ifa was thought that the courts could hardly be got ready in the time, and it was finally decided ; that the dlate be left to the committee to fix. INTER-CLUB COMPETITIONS. The chairman said no word had yet been received from thief as to> whether or not there would be inter-club competitions this . season. The chairman said everybody desired idi see the subscription reduced. The club hadi broken the. back: of its financial lurdten, hut members had to consider the matter of improving the courts. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Following)' is the tentative itinerary for English tennis team which is expected-to arrive at Wellington on Monday, October 22. It will leave Wellington for Christchurch on October 23, play the South Island team at Christchurch on October 26 and 27, leave Gnristehureh. for Wellington on October 27, play against a. Wellington team on October 30 and 31, leave Wellington, for Auckland on October 31, play a test match against a New Zealand team in Auckland on Saturday and Monday, November 3 and 5.
