SEOUEL TO CUT FINGER
TEMPORARY BLINDNESS. MONB VETERAN'S EXPERIENCE. Suddenly to lose his sight as a. result of cutting off the top of his finger, and to wander while! temporarily Mind through a maze of traffic in a crowded city street, was the strange experience of Mr David Lemon, a Mons veteran, in Sydney recently. He did not regain his sight for more, than an hour. "I just waited for my sight to come back," he said. "I knew it would." Mr Lemon was slicing a loaf of bread) wit.h a particularly sharp knife when, the accident happened. He put a bandage round his finger and kept on preparing his meals. Suddenly, however, he noticed that everywas growing black around "him, and he decided to see a chemist. He walked out of his restaurant, and while crossing a street he lost his sight altogether. Reaching the other side, he stood against a post for a long time, and then hi s sight gradually began to return.
