GOLF BALL FATALITY
DYING BOY WALKS HOME. Hit by a golf ball when rdaying with two other boys on' I .;,.the putting green in the Wembley. Council's park, Arthur Raymond Wilson Turv.ey, aged 17, died from his injuries. It was stated at the inquest that the hoy saw the ball coming and tried to dodge it, but in doing s<, came into line with it. He was knocked down, 4>ut slightly recovered and was able to walk home. The coroner remarked that it was unfortunate that there was a recov- : ery, as it did not appear that the boy was seriously hurt, although haemorrhage was taking place all the while. If the symptoms had made themselves known earlier a doctor would have been called, and there might havei been some chance of the lad's life being saved. A verdict of "accidental death" was returned.
