DEATH OF MR. H. M. RATHBONE,

The Mayor, Mr. H. M. Rathbone, was a victim of a motor accident last evening and died this morning without recovering consciousness. He was crossing the road on his way home, when a motor lorry driven by W. F. Stanley, knocked him down, causing, a fracture of the base of the skull and other Injuries. Deceased was 58 years old and leaves a widow and four of a. grown up family.
