BIG CATTLE FATEOn, Thursday last Messrs Newton King Ltd. held a special cattle fair at'their Stratford yards. Theresas a yarding of approximately 800 hepd, and with the exception of one line 'there was a complete clearance under the hammer. Buyers were in attend, •nice, from practically every district

in the North, Island,, many of the cattle being purchased for theWUnganui and Manawatu districts. There was keen competition for every lot offered, and the female cattle especially were eagerly sought after.
