A serious motor accident occuned o n tfrjp Camiiridge-HamijtoQ Road near the Tamahere store, about ten- ' thirty-mst night, when a Chevrolet car McLeod, of the • Thomas Valley"£>alry C6y., crashed v into a stationary 'Chrysler taxi sedan Qwn.e.d hy .'Mrs Rife, of Frankton and driven by; Jack. Muii. Foui passengers were in the taxi. The collision caused the taxi to hurst into" flatntfs; and one passenger in the back seat sustained a broken leg - He was rescued with difficulty. A. ian Neil, of Erankton was severely cut about the face. Bo U. ■ men were convoyed to the \\mka o Hospital. The taxi was completely desteroyod and the Chevrolet badly imaged. ’ A heavy fog at the time doubtless caused the collision. j
