THE WEATHER
VERY COLD NIGHT. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidgon) telegraphed the following forecast for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day:—■i The indications are for south-east-erly winds moderate to strong. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather with isolated showers. The night will probably be very cold with frosts inland. Marometer rising slowly.
