The last ping-pang and euchre evening held at the Marco School was again well attended and, greatly enjoyed. The winners of the ping/ pong tonrnument were Mrs. Summerhaves and Mr. Hober.t Cleland. while Airs. Carry and Air. Dagg earned off the euchre prizes. The euchre party which was to have been held at Hurimoana next Friday has been postponed owing to so many who usually attend, going to the Oddfellows Ball, which isi to be held in AVliangamomorii on the same evening. That citrus fruit can be grown here, has boon proved by Mr. F. Mantle, of Tahora, who has a r n o lemon tree of the ‘American Wonder’ variety hearing well, the fruit being of a large size.. The lemon is thriving well and needs protection from frost only until it becomes established.

Bacon on the birth of a son. Mr. Mervyn Gill has returned the Oh mu. Mrs. Hunt is spending a few days in Pa teaAirs. Pope wa-s a passenger to Stratford to-day. Air. B. Dickie is at present sitting for an exiimination in connection with Post Office duties. .We wish him success. .
