The Darlington rail tragedy death troll now totals twenty-three, one of the injured having since died. The accident is the most disastrous since that at Gretna Green in 1915. The little village of Hettbnlehole was tragically afflicted fourteen women therefrom being killed, when they were returning from a Mothers’ Union outing. .. Scarborough also had many badly injured.
