PLANTERS' CAPTURE
MONSTER FOR LONDON ZOO. LONDON, May -I. A rubber planter in Malaya named Leonard recently caught on his estate the largest specimen of hamadryad snake on record. It is 13ft Biu in length, and the monster is to be shipped to Loudon and presented to the Zoo. Mr Leonard reports that he found the reptile asleep after having apparently partaken of a, meal, for its body wa« so blown out that it could scarcely moveThe reptile is one of tho most, dan-i gerous isiiidvos known, lb attacks on sight and without provocation, and for this reason is difficult to capture alive.
