OFFIGSAL OPENING. BY MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR. Tlio official opening of the Soiitli Taranaki"'Winter Show took placu yesterday the ceremony 6e*?ng peri formed by Hon. 0. J. The; feature of -this year's Show is 'the British Industries Fair with the 'motto ''Let us bo stronger still," and this was referred "to by Mr Lanu»» in the course of his remarks. The Empire Marketing Board's exhibition he said was an inspiration to tlio peoplo of New Zealand, and the posters displayed were copies oF those broadcast in the villages and towns of the Homeland. When it was known that the. Imperial Government was willing to expend £1,000,000 on the promotion, of Empire trade it was apparent that! the aims of the board were sound ana proper.
