PREDICTIONS OF VICTORY,

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph (Copyright. DURBAN, June 27.

Th e South African selectors have picked the following Springbok side for the first test: Tindall, Pinsloo, Duffy, Stanley, Osier, Brand, (or Slater) Bennie Osier, Devilliers, Mostert, Kruger, Van Druten, Daniel, Van AVyk, Pretorious, Nel Potgieteir. If Slater is fit on Saturday he •will play wing, in place of Brand. The newspapers throughout the country are emphatic that South Africa will win and pressmen travelling with the team express the opinion that the Springboks will display marked superiority in the forwards, but jwith one exception they consider New Zealand has a stronger rearguard.

Considerable surprise has 'been caused by the omission of Nicholls from th e New Zealand men chosen to train for the test.—Special to P.A.
