VERY COLD NIGHT,
The Government Meteorologist (Dr. 11. Kidgon) telegraphed the following forecast for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day < The indications are for southerly winds moderate .to strong. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy wea(( tlier, with isolated showers. The night will probably ho very cold with frosts inland. Barometer rising islowly.
