BUILDING PROGRAMME

FOR A. AMD P. ASSOCIATION. COMMITTEE INVESTIGATING. At Saturday’s meeting of the A. and P. Association general committee, Mr. J. C. McDowell said ho thoughtthe suggestion of Mr R. Masters, made at the annual meeting, that- a building programme should be drawn up, should he followed up. The chairman (Mr. J. W. Been) said the executive committee Did set up a sub-committee to go into l the matter. Mr. McDowell said the Association was a growing one and there should, therefore, be a definite building programme laid down. He would move that the sub-committee be asked to present its report at next meeting of the general commitce. The Stratford Show was going to be a big one, e<s-* pecially when the Alim Trunk railway connection was completed. Mr. Masters had “ suggested that a programme for some years ahead shoiild be drawn up- The Association was in a good financial position, compared with other Associations, and- should have its building programme' for some, years set out.

Mr. ,T. C. Robins seconded. The executive committee had asked the sub yommittee to draw up a list of buildings rerrnired and also to state their order 1 as regards urgency.

Mr. McDowell thought the chairman oil all sections should be on the sfub-J committee.

Mr C. Moore said the idea was for the finance committee to report first and then for the special sub-commit-tee to report afterwards when they knew what finance tfas available. It was intended to draw up a programme of building, with provision for additions to I all buildings iS Required 1 to make provision for the extension of the Show:
