‘The Bill contains thirteen articles. The all-imporant figure of the franc’ s i,)veight in gold has not yet been .chided, though the coin must be ninetenths fine. The forced currency established on August 5, 1914, is abolished- ; The Bank of France must (assure the; convertibility of its notes into gold with certain limitations and must maintain a bullon and con gold reserve equal to 35 per cent, of the notes in circulation. The Bill authorises- the minting of 100-france gold pieces.
It is semi-official!y announced that tile fifanc will contain 6 5-G milligrammes of gold, 9.10 th fine. The corresponding sterling parity is 124.21.
