| During a fierce fight on the water- ; front between seamen, and watersidiers, arising out of the cooks' strike, a motor car ran over and Idled one ;of the combatants. The driver, menaced by the crowd, abandoned ;the car and escaped in a taxi. The dying man experienced v eat pain while bis companions crudely tried |to set a badly broken leg.—Australian Press Assn.
