' 'Following up the' sensational de- j velopments in he Pace murder case, public interest has centred in the inquest on Hilary RbUgier, aged| seventy-seven years, a bachelor farmer at Woking. The case has taken a remarkable turn owing to tSe examination of Wm. LOrwell, a j •tfell-uressed liian in his early thirties, in whose house Rougier was living when h e died on August 14, 1926. [ The body was exhumed two months ago and an inquiry ordered by the Home Office. Lorwell, in his evidence to-day, admitted that he had had between five and six thousand pounds from Rougier by cheques. ' svir'Hard wick, a solicitor, gave evidence that he personally met Rougier and explained that Lovv/ell was in financial difficulties.
