A rather unusual case was before Mr Justice Smith in! the shape of an ■application for am order consenting to the marriage of a girl of 18$ and a man of: full-age. Th© girl's parents had refused consent on the ground that the man was mentally afflicted,. but an examination by a doctor found no evidence in support of this, and the parents left it to the Court. "

Mr. Justice Smith called both parties' to the case before him and, finding no evidence, of menthl disorder in the suitor, made an order cc/nsentiag r tfe' the marriage.
