At the conclusion of the Coroner's inquiry at Coleiord, ' Mrs Beatrice Page, aged 35, -wasl arrested as a result of the jurys verdict and charged with the murder of her .'husband Harry Page (36) a Forest of Dean farmer, by arsenical poisoning.. Page died oh Januairy 10. The police stopped the funeral and the inquiry occupied nineteen weeks. Considerable attention was rocusse!d on the medical evidence that death was due arsenic, poisoning. The evidence of Cue relatives suggested ill feeling between Page and his wife. Page's life was' insured in 1924 and he suddenly became ill in 1925; and in July 1927 following a meal lie again suddenly became ill. 'liewas admitted to a hospital where ho recovered and returned hothe and again became suddenly ill oh January 6. He then complained of sensations in the stomach and throat and died on January 10.. The wife swooned upon heading the Verdict and shouted "I didn't, 1 didn't, I wouldn't, 1 couldn't. Women and girls in the court wept bitterly.
